At Bezalel, a renowned institution for the arts, we embarked on a remarkable journey, challenging ourselves to transform unconventional materials into captivating figures.
This unique creative exercise encouraged us to break free from the confines of realism and unleash our artistic freedom. Drawing inspiration from the garden, I gathered bark fragments and arranged them intuitively, without overthinking. In the next step, I translated the 3D forms into a 2D canvas using a marker, adding intricate details like the samurai's distinctive mustache, robe, and enigmatic legs.
This transformation from the tangible to the visual realm showcases the power of unconscious creation, eliminating distractions and giving birth to a captivating and unexpected result.
